I have Condyloma. Several questions …?

Hi there,
I got Condyloma from my girlfriend.
She doesn't have any symptoms, but it was verified by her doctor.
I urged her to go and see her doctor, because all of a sudden I was starting to develop Condyloma (genital warts) on my penis and its base.

1) I'm not sure how much is this stuff contagious to other parts of my body.
I mean, right now it's still spreading from my penis to my lower stomach, and I'm not sure I didn't touch it sometime and then didn't wash my hands afterwards …

2) can I pass it to my eye, or to any part that's not skinned ?

3) Since the HPV has already broken out, say I have passed it to elsewhere in my body, would it also take months to develop warts, or should I see them within days ?

4) will the treatment leave me with any scars ?

Thank you, from a very worried man :/

Go to a doctor both of you.To get on some meds that will help control some of that.so it want be as visual mainly painful or from infecting. If you stay clean sex wise and hygiene you wont get infected as much to others.but its going to go through a mild process of scaring no stopping that.Just don't let it enahnce to stage 2 or 3.If you already don't have 1 is ok and ppl get that oftern even as a kid.Hope this helps.use condoms and stay getting checked out by a clinic or doctor your girlfriend too.

How to avoid a divorce because of a minor affair?

I got genital wart, nothingh serious and allready taken care of, but still on treatment. It was acquired not by sexual penetration but it was by skin to skin contact. she hasn't been infected yet (maybe never). It was just a rub body massage with a naked woman. what to tell to my wife? truth or there is some believable explanation I can give to avoid fight or divorce? I mean it is not an affair where you meet always a friend or someone else, it was just a sexual massage and I never thought it was going to have that sort of consequences. Men and women's point of view welcome.

Hmmmm, I'd love to advise you but your story just doesn't seem to wash.

that's not a MINOR AFFAIR. it's an affair period!! i'll divorse u in a heartbeat. u deserve it to have contracted that disease.

tell her you got it from public toilet seat

An affair is an affair is an affair. you did something in secret. why? why didn't you tell your wife – because you knew it was wrong. Thus it was an affair.

She deserves the truth. what she decides to do afterwards is up to her.

If it were my husband I would want to know the truth…. though honestly I don't know if I'd stay w/ him. It would make me wonder if he'd done other things and just didn't catch anything.

You are a disgusting pig! tell your wife the truth…you contradicted yourself moron….first you say it was a "minor affair"…then you said it was not an affair…just a sexual massage. IT WAS AN AFFAIR…hope your pecker falls off!

There are no minor affairs dude.

Spill the bean, it's the only way you can live with yourself as a man.

Learn from your mistake, don't tell her – it will break her heart. Married woman here. I wouldn't want to know, I wouldn't want him to do it again either….be kind, stay married and let your curiosity stay just that in the future.

If you are naked w/ another person, that is just wrong when you are married…no matter if you had sex or not….that's just not right…

no such thing as a minor affair i'm afraid…..not to the wife/ husband being cheated on……unless of course you're saying the girl/boy was underage????

Well if you want your marriage to work, try honesty. tell your wife exactly what happened, and why you did it. Hopefully she'll forgive you and understand. But you can not continue lying to her. If she wants to divorce you based on this, you have to respect her. let her make decisions based on the truth. you owe that to her.

Well, as long as it wasn't an "affair" and was nothing serious, why don't you tell your wife the truth? If you do ANYTHING that you know you are going to lie about afterwards it is being untrue to your commitments. I'm sorry, friend. you will probably have to rely on the forgiveness of your wife. and for God's sake, don't go into denial, have sex with her, and give her the warts as well.

There's no such thing as a "minor affair". the best course of action is to tell your wife the truth–because it's going to come out (in the form of a genital wart on your wife). Herpes is forever—and if she's not cheating and suddenly notices, she's going to know something is going on.

Honesty truly sets you free—you don't have to live a lie anymore, and you have the opportunity to try to right your wrongs (if you are truly repentant).

You may lose your wife—but then we are all accountable for our actions, and reap what we sow. Every action has a consequence–and your actions could possibly cost you a marriage.

No such thing as a minor affair. That's like saying a woman is
" a little pregnant ". you messed up.

Wow, this is difficult. Personally I would consider it cheating. even though your warts will probably go away, you can still be a carrier. your wife could get HPV then not aquire outward symptoms and develop cancer. could you live with that? I think more important is why did you go outside your marriage? is there a satisfaction problem? I would set up couples counseling after you first deal with your straying issues with a counselor of your own. This will give you the best advice on how to break the news. I would also avoid sex with your wife if you are not wearing a condom. I hope that you are sincere in working this out. she will be angry then hurt and basically go through the grieving process. If you have a good foundation it may work out. keep in mind that you are going to have a lot of work and trust issues ahead of you. things always get worse before they get better.

A married man who goes for sexual massages is having an affair. you need to tell your wife and expect to be kicked out of the house. Minor affairs! You'll be lucky if she doesn't take everything.

Well since you obviously don't love or respect your wife enough not to do something like that, maybe you could start by telling her the truth. show her you respect her enough to tell her what actually happened, rather than lying and letting her imagine the worst. Of course this isn't about protecting her, is it? It's not about preventing her from the hurt this is likely to cause. It's about weasling out of the consequences of your actions.

If you do decide to take responsibility for your actions, try not belittling her feelings about the matter. at this point it is for her to decide whether or not this is 'minor'.

If you really want to avoid divorce you're going to have to start thinking of your wife and her feelings. Selfishness has gotten you into this mess and it'll only make it worse if you keep it up.

No such things as a "minor" affair. An affair is unfaithfullness, bottom line.

This will be your first step towards reconcilation of trust and a close relationship.

If you cannot even understand what you have done is destroy trust, the basic foundation for a marraige, then how can she trust you for the future?

You definately need to re-shift your focus on reality, and perspective. Become a faithful person and make any such situations complete history.

Reunite with the one you committed to be faithful to in the first place. you have absolutely no business continueing to do what you did, and again your first step to regainig the relationship is to see what you did and understand it is the basis for the destruction of a marriage.

housefellowship.org

then tell the truth and take her with you the next time

Dude, there is no such thing as a minor affair ! you just take responsibility for your actions !

Nice choice of words. If you had to hide it, it wasn't minor. you betrayed her trust in you. are you enjoying the idea of how hurt she's going to be? does it thrill you to know she'll cry herself to sleep and spend days wondering what's wrong with her that caused you to stray? You're a great husband buddy.
Sorry, not trying to be judgmental but I stayed 100% faithful for 12 years. I had temptations and blew off every one of them. I believe you made a conscious choice and it is amusing that NOW you want to avoid the fallout of the decision.

Would you consider this a "minor" affair, if the shoe was on the OTHER foot?? Didn't think so!!

Well first off I think you should tell your wife and be a man and suffer the consequences. If you get divorced then you get divorced. you deserve it! there is no minor affair possible! An affair is an affair!

There is no such thing as a "minor affair." you cheated on your wife. you are lucky that she is just leaving you and not taking you for half of everything you own.

Stop trying to justify what you did by saying "it was just"
Your wife wont care that "it was just" a naked massage.
You cheated, got gential warts, and now have to pay the price.
I hope you haven't had unprotected sex with your wife. If you have and she's infected then it will be your fault.

Own up and take whatever happens as your karma. Though I doubt that would help as you haven't taken responsibility for your actions have you.

How to remove sebaceous cysts?

Hello,
I had this once before a couple of years back but just popped it and everything was fine.

But now I have read up, and found out that it would be bad to pop them as they can become infected.

Anyway, I have a small bb sized sebaceous cysts on the shaft of an area that me a man can have and a woman cant. so i was looking around and I was wondering how to remove them.

I dont have any heat pads, but is there a substitute method I can use with just general household stuff?

Or are there any sort of creams and stuff that I can use which would help. I heard Salictol but on this site it says not to use on genital regions pcpdirect.co.uk/Pharmacy/Wart…
Thanks?

I'm Depressed About What My Sexual Assault Counselor Said to Me?

About 10 months ago, I was sexually assaulted when a man digitally penetrated my vagina with his finger. As a result, I contracted HPV (genital warts). HPV is highly contagious and spreads from skin-to-skin contact. he had viral shedding on his fingers from his penis that he transferred to my vagina.

After 10 months, I finally worked up the courage to get help. I got a psychologist at my college. She encouraged me to call this sex assault clinic to get tested. I explained my situation to the counselor and she said. "oh that is impossible to get an STD from a finger!" and went on to say that I wouldn't need testing.

However, I KNOW I got HPV from him. I developed small red bumps and a large green ulcer 3-4 weeks after the attack. I had one sexual partner before the attack. he was a boyfriend, a virgin before we had sex, and that was over 3 years ago.

I had a difficult time explaining to her that I needed to be tested. my psychologist believed me though, and so did the gynecologist I called after I called the clinic. Prior to all this, I had gone to Planned Parenthood for treatment of HPV, The nurse there also acted like it was virtually impossible to get HPV from a finger.

Is it strange or me to be feeling depressed about this. I am just tired of those certain people not believing me. they keep trying to blame it on my prior sex partner. he was a virgin and the guy that attacked me has slept with at least 50 people and has a violent criminal record, and 10 years older!!!

Please help. how do I tell my counselor I am depressed from what I said? She believes me now but it still hurts.

Even counselors can make mistakes. Let her know gently that you were hurt by her comment, but then forgive her. I'll bet your interaction with her might make her think twice before saying such a thing to a future patient. take care.

Oh gosh that's terrible. I'm really sorry that happened to you. did the guy ever go to prison? if nobody believes you, know that I do. Try many different doctors, i'm sure there will be at least one that will believe you.
Just tell you're counselor it straight. I'm sure it will work out for you.

much love,
mp

Important Facts You Should Know About Venereal Warts

Genital warts are the second most frequent sexually transited disease (STD) in various countries all over the worls, infect men and women, and certain types of the human papillomavirus (HPV) produce them.

What is the human papillomavirus (HPV)?

The HPV is in fact the frequent name given to a family with about 100 different viruses, even so the types that produce many of the genital warts are HPV type 11 and 6. however, the total volume of the types that can cause the infection is thirty!

The signs of genital warts in men really are a bit different from the ones, seen in women, and also in many cases, the warts are found on the scrotum, across the anus and on the tip of the penis. in rare incidences, the same warts could possibly be observed even just in the mouth. the latent period might last up to a few years, the small lesions are not often itchy; however, they might grow in clusters and may be very tough to get rid of. Diagnosing the infection is conducted soon after visual examination, where the doctor examines the scrotum, penis, the thighs, and genital area. the warts tend to be whiter than the skin tone or flesh-colored and when they aren’t very easily seen, the doctor could apply acetic solution, that colors them white.

What are the attainable treatments for genital warts in men?

One of the most popular cure will be Podophyllotoxin cream or solution, that topical therapy might be implemented at home or at the doctor’s office. Trichloroacetic Acid and Podophyllin Solution are used also, yet since they have the risks of burning the skin, the solutions are normally administered by a medical professional. Burning the warts (cauterizing), cryotherapy, and laser treatment method are also available as well as surgery, but they may be very intense treatment options, that are also costlier compared to the other choices. in the past few years, several herbal therapies have been used and reported to remedy this stubborn infection effectively.

Depending on the selected treatment method, its duration could be from a few days to a few weeks, though the possibilities of recurrence are quite high considering that the human papillomavirus remains in the system. Newer and ensuring options and also the usage of immune response modifiers are utilized to enhance the sufferer’s own immune system, therefore it can easily fight off the virus properly.

How should the male genital warts get prevented?

Until now, a vaccine against two of the HPV types that cause warts may be made for women only, still it truly is expected a similar vaccine to be approved for men patients too. Prevention which is more feasible is reducing the number of partners and abstinence, and even though the use of condoms seriously isn’t a sure-fire strategy to avoid the infection, it decreases the risk and protects against other STDs. in the event you suspect you have contracted this infection, do not start any form of self-treatment before seeing a physician, and you must also tell your sexual partner as soon as you have been properly diagnosed.

Would you date a girl with Genital Warts?

I was diagnosed with HPV (Genital warts) last year, and they weren't that bad, luckily I only had one or two at a time then would go for a long time… then they came back earlier this year when I started my new job and I guess it's down to the stress and over tiredness as this can make the warts come back. low immune system and what not. and since April I've been going to the nurse once to twice a week for treatment (Ouch! …and frustrating). and to be honest it's just felt like a constant battle because I'm doing everything I can for my body to get strong again and suppress the virus. but obviously genital warts are stubborn and hard to get rid of. Luckily the treatment and visits to the clinic proved it was all worth it because I was finally clear! Couldn't describe how happy I was. Felt like a giant weight lifted off my shoulders!! :) Despite covered in scars from the pydophillin and cryotherapy I had. and a couple weeks later I noticed them come back with a vengance! Some in the same places they were before…. So now I feel like i'm back to square one :( I know they can come back yes, especially within the first 3 months of them going. I just feel so down right now really… I feel as if no guy I like will accept it and carry on dating me, or want to be physical with me. Using condoms helps prevent the spreading of warts but of course it's not 100% depending on where it is on skin. Would you date a girl knowing she had HPV with the symptoms? (The genital warts)…. I'm an attractive girl, I felt so confident and fantastic before all of this and now I feel fed up, down and like that's it with dating for me. Anyone else feel like this? and to the men what would you do in this situation… No nasty comments please.

No I would not. I wont date anyone that is sexually irresponsible

I've had visible HPV and still got laid so you'll be fine.

» Overview Of Genital Warts In Women Causes And Treatment

Genital warts are caused by the human papillomavirus. It is spread via direct skin-to-skin contact, normally during oral, vaginal or anal sexual contact. HPV has no fewer than one hundred various types, 40 of which cause genital warts, but the biggest culprits are HPV 11 and HPV 6.

Genital warts in women are usually located around the anus, on the thighs or around the vagina and could be pink and small or whiter and risen and in certain cases, they form clusters. Specific types of the human papilloma virus infect the anogenital tract and cause cervical cancer; nevertheless, they do not cause genital warts. The diagnosis is typically done by a physician who conducts internal examination of the anus or the vagina and visual examination of the genital area. in some instances, he might take a biopsy from a wart.

Various treatment options are available for the time being, still it is important to have in mind that they only take care of the visible signs of the infection, and the virus remains in the system. The most commonly used treatment options are topical. while some can be applied by the persons on their own at home, others are applied only by professional medical staff since they carry the risk of burning the skin. The podophyllin 10-25% is applied for about six weeks, TCA (trichloroacetic acid) 80-90% works in a similar manner, and podofilox solution 0.5% should be used two times daily for three days, which is then followed by four days of non-treatment. All the methods are successful at removing or reducing the warts, but the recurrence is possible. a few herbal and natural supplements have been used as well and enormous success has been observed by most women that have tried them. laser ablation, electrocauterization and surgical excision are also used and have lower recurrence rate, still they also require visits to a doctor’s office and have longer recovery period.

Female genital warts are transmitted by skin-to-skin contact, therefore using condoms offers some, although not perfect protection. The best way to escape getting infected is by abstaining from sex. Vaccine for young females is offered in almost all countries. It is recommended that women be vaccinated as it protects not only against HPV 6 and HPV 11, but also against the HPV 16 and 18, which cause cancer.

If you spot small warts on the thighs or in the genital area, you should pay a visit to your medical professional at once – even though the strains that cause the genital warts in females are considered low risk, you have a better chance of getting rid of them if the treatment is begun before they spread to a larger area. Stick to your healthcare provider’s instructions, avoid sexual contacts during the treatment course, and limit the number of your sexual partners after the treatment.

What are my chances of having HPV or Genital Warts?

My fiance had genital warts when he was 23 and he is now 27. he had the treatment and the warts have never appeared again. him and I have been having unprotected sex for a while and I am now 9 months pregnant. When I went to the doctor and had a pap smear etc. I tested negative for warts/hpv. is there a chance at some point that I will have a break out or that I already have waI;rts. My fiance is the only man ive been with btw.

You can ctach warts even if you use a condom. If the warts are around his crotch area you can contract them. many people have HPV that causes genital warts, but they never have a oubreak. i was unlucky, I had an outbreak, but we dont know if my husband got it. there is no test for men. If you continue to have sex and especially inprotected sex, yes, there is a chance that with time you may contract hpv that causes genital warts. best to use condoms.

You may or may not have shared your finance genital wart HPV type. Once we acquire the virus our body starts building immunity to our acquired HPV type. No scientist or researchers can guarantee that we will never share our HPV type with a new sex partner….but over time we are probable less contagious.

Most people with the virus do not show abnormal cell changes or external lesions.

A Pap test looks for abnormal cell changes of the cervix only. When abnormal cell changes of the cervix are found a second test screening for high risk HPV types is done. the HPV test is a screening of the cervix only and only screens for 13 high risk HPV types. your Pap was negative so an HPV may not have been done. It may take years before abnormal cells of the cervix or genital warts develop.

There may be a chance at some point that you will develop abnormal cell changes or the cervix or genital warts. I would just assume that I shared my partners HPV type. HPV is a very common infection. the virus could show if your immune system were to weaken sometime down the road. Routine Pap testing will allow your doctor to see abnormal cells if they were to develop sometime down the road. I wouldn't worry to much about HPV until you developed external genital warts or abnormal cell changes.

I wish you. your partner and your new baby well.

Whether an immune mediated regression clears that HPV type from the body completely, or just suppresses it to the point where it is not likely to be contagious nor cause HPV-induced disease in the future is not known for sure. However, the end-result is essentially the same since neither "cleared" nor "permanently suppressed" HPV would be likely to present a future threat.

Good luck!

The thing about HPV is you can get it and not even know, and possibly never even have a breakout. And it can be transmitted even when he doesnt have an active infection.

the CDC estimates that 70% of sexually active adults will acquire HPV in their lifetime, the highest transmitted STD known. your risk is high because you know he has it. There is no test to detect the virus without it being active, so you may or may not have it and even when you test neg on your pap smear you could still have it.

You may never have a breakout even if you have it, and it is treatable as you know on the plus side.
